JOB OPENING
HLA Engineers, Inc. is looking for good Mechanical or Civil Engineers to perform stress analysis and design of industrial products and structures. We use state of the art finite element programs and perform challenging investigations in static, dynamic, thermal and non-linear areas.
Position: Stress Analyst
Qualifications:
Position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering and two years’ experience (or master’s degree) with Finite Element Analysis programs such as ANSYS APDL, ANSYS Workbench, and/or Staad and LS-Dyna performing linear, non-linear, fatigue, weld, static, dynamic, buckling, modal and harmonic analyses. One years’ experience required using the CAD programs Inventor and/or SolidWorks. Experience with rail cars and pressure vessels is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and stress analysis of industrial products and structures. Perform challenging design and analysis in both the structural and mechanical areas – usually involving static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, and non-linear expertise, and using virtually every type of material: metals, composites, plastics, and elastomers.
